Kidderminster is ideally placed, midway between the West Midlands conurbation and the Welsh Marches.

Kidderminster itself has grown around the River Stour, just a couple of miles east from the River Severn. The Severn Valley offers plenty of activities from canoeing on the river itself to climbing on local rock faces such as that a Blackstone. Beyond the Severn Valley to the west are the Shropshire Hills, ideal hill walking country and also a haven for many other outdoor activities. We are approximately 30 miles from the Welsh border and of course the hills and mountains beyond. To the south are the famous Malvern Hills, whilst the smaller hills of Clent lie to the east of the town towards Birmingham.
